Every year on June 5th, people worldwide celebrate World Environment Day to spread the word about the value of taking care of our planet and its natural resources. One way to ensure the long-term viability of a pleasant place to live is to plant trees. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) events involving stakeholders are held by the SHE team of Industrial District JIIPE under the banner of "Rooting for a greener future."
"As the management of an industrial area oriented to the living environment, show that JIIPE is very concerned with green" says Bambang Soetiono, President Director of PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera, "We are committed to keeping this industrial area into a green industrial estate, and we do plant Mangrove trees and other types for the sustainability of a green and environmentally friendly industrial area." In the past, the East Java Mangrove community and JIIPE Industrial Estate collaborated to plant 2,000 mangrove trees in Manyar Sidomukti area. Bambang hopes that the management of the industrial area together with stakeholders may work together and create synergies as a result of this activity.

The 1,000 trees of mangrove or Mangrove and Lamtoro trees were planted by Camat Manyar Zainul Arifin, Kapolsek Manyar, Head of DLH Gresik, Leader of PKK Manyar Movement Team, Head of Danramil, representatives of the industry, and management staff of the integrated industrial area of JIIPE, where they will serve to protect the coast from waves, absorb carbon dioxide gas, and produce oxygen.
Even the tiniest ecosystem is active, since on the opposite side of the mangrove tree is a living area where marine biota like little fish may shelter and obtain food. It is believed that the various environmental, cultural, landscape, and natural changes that will occur as a result of JIIPE's existence as the largest industrial Kawasan in Eastern Java would be effectively arranged and to the advantage of all stakeholders.
Zainul Arifin thanked JIIPE for their dedication to the group's efforts to improve the area. PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera, which is known as JIIPE can bring prosperity to the Gresik people and Manyar in particular, JIIPE's presence will be a boon to Gresik and Manyar in particular. According to Zainul, recent visits by the country's top officials, including President are evidence of the increased interest in Gresik brought about by JIIPE.
This is a fantastic plan to lessen our impact on the planet and help the ecology. Industries need to acknowledge their role in environmental degradation and work toward solutions. One thousand trees planted will not only help the environment but also give a home to local animals and enhance the quality of life for nearby residents. Seeing businesses commit to a greener future and serve as a model for others is inspiring.
