AKR Corporindo TBk is an integrated logistics and supply chain solutions company that operates in distribution of petroleum and basic chemicals, logistic services, manufacturing of sorbitol and adhesive materials, and also coal mining and trading. The company was established on November 28, 1977 under tha name of PT. Aneka Kimia Raya. The company became a public listed company in 1994 and later changed its name to PT. AKR Corporindo TBk in 2004.
The company’s extensive assets include sea ports and river ports in Indonesia, tank terminals for petroleum and basic chemicals, manufacturing facilities of sorbitol and adhesive materials, self-propelled oil barges, trucks, warehouses, manufacturing facilities of sorbitol and adhesive materials, and other assets.
The company is the first national private company to enter the non-subsidized petroleum distribution business since 2005. The company is also the first national private company trusted by BPH Migas to distribute subsidized petroleum since 2010. Considering the company’s infrastructure and extensive logistic network, BPH Migas has assigned the company to distribute subsidized petroleum in various regions in Indoneisa.
The Company received allocation of 640.000 KL of susidized petroleum for the year 2014. The area of distribution is now expanded to include cities in the province of North Sumatera, Lampung, Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and South Sulawesi.
