For some time now the world has been stirred up by the rapid and massive transmission of the Corona virus. This inevitably raises anxiety and disruption in various sectors, especially the tourism sector.
However, one sector claimed not to be too affected by the Corona virus. The sector in question is the industrial sector which includes industrial estates, one of them is East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE. Sanny Iskandar as Chair of HKI (Association of Industrial Estates) asserted that the Corona virus did not have a significant impact on industrial estates, including East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE.
In this case, Sanny believes that the industrial sector is different from tourism which deals directly with tourists from various countries, including those from China as the center of the deadly virus.
The industrial sector such as the East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE despite having foreign workers who may also come from China, the average worker has settled in Indonesia and rarely in and out of China.
However, although the Corona virus does not have much influence on the industrial estate, East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE as a third generation industrial estate continues to take precautionary measures and increase awareness of this deadly virus outbreak in order to maintain the safety of the workers in it and ensure industrial activities run smoothly.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial area in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for yachts and housing with the concept of an environmentally friendly independent city, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers.
