Residents who were isolated some time ago due to flooding have now started their activities again, although aid continues to arrive.
Although the floods this year were not as big as last year, the silt in the house made a number of household appliances such as mattresses and dirty chairs.
After being given food aid in the form of instant noodles or packaged rice.
Now, some residents get clean water and soap to wash clothes and even clean the interior of the house.
Dozens of villages in Balongpanggang, Benjeng, Menganti, and Cerme sub-districts or the southern Gresik area are often hit by floods overflowing lamong times.
Cerme sub-district became the last area to recede for the longest.
Because, compared to several other districts, Cerme sub-district has the lowest soil conditions.
Ahmad Jainuri (45), a resident of Cerme Subdistrict, who was a victim of the Kali Lamong flood overflow, said he was happy, with the assistance provided. Because, laundry soap, other household needs are needed at this time.
"The rice in our house was flooded. Not all table chairs and even clothes in the closet can be saved because the water comes at dawn, "he said at the Cerme District office on Monday (1/20/2020).

While PT. NIC, as a company in the JIIPE Region, distributes assistance in the form of basic food and bathing and washing needs.
Comdev & PR Manager PT. BKMS Mifti Haris said that what he had done with the companies in JIIPE area was a form of social awareness.
The provision of social assistance to flood victims in Kali Lamong, for these three districts is part of JIIPE's CSR activities.
As a form of corporate concern for the community and the environment affected by the disaster.
"The assistance we provide such as laundry soap, then basic food such as 3-kilogram packaged rice, instant noodles, mineral water, bathing and washing needs. As well as, food for children's nutritional intake such as milk or biscuits," he said.
To be on target, some of the most severely affected villages were collaborating with Forkopimcam in each of the affected districts and the Association of Village Heads of Manyar Districts.
"Hopefully it can ease the burden of disaster victims. Because it takes a long time to clean the house and meet household needs that were flooded yesterday," concluded Mifti.
