Gresik is one of the developing cities in East Java that will rival several other big cities. This is possible because Gresik has a growing industrial sector, marked by the establishment of new factories by domestic, private and multinational private companies in the Gresik Industrial Estate (JIIPE).
The industries in the JIIPE Industrial area employ many employees and expatriates which in turn will increase the need for shelter and also commercials needed for better survival in this integrated industrial estate.
Thanks to infrastructure in the JIIPE Gresik Industrial Estate, the housing market continues to rise which is then followed by an increasingly mushrooming industrial market that will continue to grow. The City of Gresik will be increasingly looked at by private investors given that the district has an integrated port in the JIIPE Industrial area. This will encourage Gresik and Surabaya as potential cities and are ready to compete with other regions, so as to accelerate the development and distribution of raw materials very well.
