East Java has a potential land area of 31,784 hectares in a number of areas that can be developed into industrial areas.
The industrial estate includes the 1,761 hectare Java Integrated Industrial Port Estate (JIIPE), 140 hectares of Gresik Industrial Estate (KIG), the 248 hectare Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER), Sidoarjo Industrial Estate, Brebek covering 87 hectares. Ngoro Industrial Park (NIP) covering 500 hectares, Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang (PIER) 534 hectares, and Safe N Lock Eco Industrial Park 307 hectares.
The government and developers will continue to provide industrial estates, especially potential areas outside of ring one that have lower MSEs so that they are expected to be competitive.
