Submission of the establishment of Special Economic Zones (KEK) in Kawasan Industri Surabaya Gresik JIIPEhas been carried out since last year. Currently various parties, including PT Pelindo III are working to accelerate the licensing process to make the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE as a KEK.
If this is realized, then various benefits will be obtained by business entities that have and will join Kawasan Industri Surabaya Gresik JIIPE. The main benefit that will be obtained by business entities in the East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE is related to tax.
Based on Article 20 of Presidential Regulation (PP) No. 12 of 2020 concerning Facilities and Facilities in KEK, the regional government can determine reduction, relief, and even exemption from local taxes for businesses and business entities in Kawasan Industri Surabaya Gresik JIIPE. More specifically, local taxes and levies that will be imposed on business entities in KEK in East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE are at the lowest of 50%, while the highest is 100%.
